Hello,

英皇 current price is worth to buy more?

Thanks

For Emperor Int'l, it depends on your investment horizon, and if that's >3 months, then current price is a good buy. As far as I know, the Chairman is still actively buying shares in the open market.

Hi,
I bought 1050 (karrie int'l) at around $0.64. However the share price has been stagnant over the past few weeks, which is making me a bit worried. I was planning to hold it over the medium term. Please advise, thanks a lot.

Hello,

I noted that you have sold 2366 (QJY Media) recently. Do you mean that QJY Media is not worth holding? As I bought 2366 at around $1.9, do you think that I should hold or sell? I would appreciate it if you can give me some advice as the share price has been stagnant over the past few months. Many thanks,
BC

For Karrie Int'l (1050.HK), I suppose your "medium term" means at least 9 months. If that's the case, then no problem. $0.64 is a good entry price. There's no imminent stimulus though, so I wouldn't be surprised if stock price stays at $0.55-$0.70 range for a few months.

For Dream Int'l (1126.HK), my take on the recent volatility is that it's due to people speculating that the 1H'2009 results will be good. If you look at the recent result announcements by toy manufacturers (for example, Playmates and Lerado), you'll see that their gross margins have improved a lot in 1H'2009 vs same period last year. The market is taking the clues that toy manufacturers are recovering. Plus, the general Hang Seng Index is very volatile these days and there are lots of "hot money" flowing in. You shouldn't be surprised to see Dream Int'l going up 10-15% a day for the next 1.5 week.

What's important is that you recognize the intrinsic value of the company, and in my opinion, that's $0.60 in the short-term and $0.90-$1.00 in the long term. Buying at $0.30-$0.35 is relatively low risk, in my opinion, and provides a good "margin of safety" (borrowing Benjamin Graham's language).

For QJY Media (2366.HK), I bought at around $1.4 and sold with moderate profits. The Company is going through a lot of restructuring, so there's uncertainty as to where the Company is heading. I don't see any strong prospect for share price to recover in 2009. But after all, the Company is a solid one and with many new initiatives in the media sector (e.g. concerts, TV programs) that could bear fruits in 2010 and beyond. I don't think I'll buy again until I see clarity on that though.

That your entry price is $1.9, I'd suggest you to sell at this point and take a 10% loss, and put it in a stock that has more prospects in the short-term, i.e. Dream Int'l or, Emperor. Hopefully you'll be able to get some return on that position, and then if QJY's prospect turns up, you can buy again.
